K-Trax Training is a developmental training program devoted to competitive runners ranging from Olympic, Open/Masters, NCAA, and High School in track & field and cross country. Our program is driven by the concept of the PR, meaning personal record/performing to the best of one's ability. By focusing on the PR, we have constructed a program to fortify the physical development of the athlete and support their athletic progression. Much like an architect who shapes and builds a structure based on the strength of a foundation, we strive to support and develop our athletes using a base of cross training. Using a strong base, we aim to structure a personalized training regimen complimentary to the athlete's vision. Each run is tracked and calculated by our coaches who use that data to adjust your training based on your goals and project how you will potentially perform by the end of the season.
Using cross training platforms, our track & field athletes will engage in a personalized endurance, speed, core, and strength regiment designed to fortify the body for the track season. Before hitting the track long-term, athletes will primarily train on hills, trails, and terrain to prepare for the season. In these sessions, athletes will focus on three core values that are necessary for establishing a strong base: mentality, physicality, and spirituality aka emotional well-being. Includes basic core & resistance training.
Begins in January. Ideally, upon completion of our track conditioning program, athletes will enter our developmental track program. Track workouts consists of intervals, breakdowns, ladders, and other measurable training tools necessary. Using strategic planning and analytical data, our coaches will evaluate your progress, technique, approach, and mechanics to guide you in your effort to PR. Includes basic core & resistance training.
Cross Country is not just about running long, but running smart, strategically, effectively, and efficiently. As we prepare our athletes for the rigors of cross country competition, we equip our athletes using a personalized regiment balancing endurance, strength, and speed with strategy. Athletes will train on varying hill gradients and terrains including dirt, grass, tartan, mud, asphalt, and more to adequately prepare or athletes for the conditions of competition. Includes basic core & resistance training.
For youth athletes looking for personalized training in track & field.
Our youth program is designed to develop the talent, skill, technique, physicality, mentality, spirituality, knowledge, language, and running strategies of our athletes. In doing so, athletes will be challenged and learn life lesson on achieving their best selves while striving for the PR. Included: Core work, calisthenics, and resistance training.
A strong core is integral to the development of runners in terms of achieving strength, endurance, and speed, and reducing the occurrence of injury. In addition to the abdominals, focus on the total core: the glutes, obliques, hip flexors, hips, and lower back (QL's). By engaging in calisthenics, you will learn how to fortify your body, maximize your performance, and handle your own strength.
